Top 3 Perks & Benefits of Listening To Music While Exercising

If we simply walk the streets, we notice that more and more runners are listening to music. And why is that?

For some, running without music is a way for them to leave their tech devices at home and to completely immerse themselves in their surroundings, listening to just the sound of nature (or traffic, depends on where you live 😛).

Others love to pop their earphones on and cruise along to their favourite tunes. Of course, there are benefits to both, but if you’re a part of the first group you may want to give listening to music a try.

According to research made by “Runner’s World”, half of the runners said that they love to plug in with a playlist or podcast.

There are three main reasons why you should listen to songs or playlists that make you feel good:

  1. These songs always motivate you. They bring to the surface positive aspects of yourself such as excitement and happiness, and also positive thoughts;
  2. The rhythm of the music helps runners to focus and some even like to run to the beat;
  3. Music makes the task of running or walking easier and it normally lasts longer than expected.

A good tip is to search for playlists with the duration of the time that you want to run for, to build your own with songs that motivate you, or to listen to our very own R4aC Playlist, with the top songs chosen by our very own runners. The last option is highly recommended 😀!

Exercising is hard enough as it is, and we know that most people don’t exercise because they simply don’t enjoy it. If running with music makes the experience even more enjoyable, and gets people out the door, then it’s definitely worth it!

Please enjoy 2h30m of great music to run on us! If you like what you hear, share our playlist with your friends and family!
