Meet Raquel Marques! One of the Run4aChild initiative founders!

In how many Run4aChild challenges did you participate?
Proudly in 7 challenges so far and eager to start this new one.
Did you enjoy participating in the Run4aChild initiative?
I truly did!
As part of the co-founder team, can you tell us a little more about the genesis of this cause?
Helping others and giving back to the community was always present in WIT’s DNA. Also, since day one, WIT is really concerned in being part of employees’ wellbeing and safety. This initiative is a great combination of these two goals.
Tell us about your personal experience in the Run4aChild challenges.
As I didn’t run or walk, the first challenges were more difficult, but focusing on the children and running with other team members made it easier.
How/what did you feel when you completed a challenge?
The feeling of achievement is amazing. You may be tired, but your heart is happy!
Do you think Run4aChild had/has a positive impact in your life? How? Were there any changes in your lifestyle thanks to your participation?
Absolutely! I didn’t use to run or walk before challenge #1. Nowadays, I go walking or running at least 3 times a week and I can’t imagine my life without doing that. This initiative changed my lifestyle and above all, for the best of causes!
What is your biggest motivation to join this cause?
Doing what is within my reach to help children around the world.
Do you think the original goals were met at this time?
Yes, but there are so many children that still need our help that I feel that we still need to run more and bring more runners.
Would you recommend taking part in the initiative to anyone?
Yes. This is the perfect combination of promoting a healthier lifestyle while helping children.
Do you have any advice for Run4aChild future runners?
Put your sneakers on and keep the focus on the goal of helping the children!
Will you join us in the current challenge?
Absolutely!

We hope Raquel’s testimonial and joy inspires to support our cause and to start moving!
Thank you, Raquel.
