2021 has been challenging in many ways, another year marked by the COVID-19 pandemic, along with natural and political issues.
It was an incredibly hard year for many, but we hope that 2022 will be better because we have you by our side.
This year, we were also able to start a new chapter for R4aC that had been on hold previously due to the pandemic and we are so grateful for all of the hard work and dedication from our runners.
Together we completed three incredible challenges. Like we always say “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”
Now that we have reached the end of this year, we want to share what we have achieved together.
- 1106 runners reached their Individual Goals throughout the 3 challenges.
- 1106 kids were helped. With that, we were able to donate 307 toy kits for Afghan Children this Christmas; 357 school material kits for Indian Children. 442 anti Covid-19 Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Kits for children in Mozambique to go back to school safely.
- In total, 91 teams completed their team goal. With that, we were able to donate 21 school supply kits to Afghan refugees; 31 food baskets for families in India and 39 food kits for families in Mozambique.
- Together we ran an amazing total of 339,747 Km always reaching our overall goal for each challenge!
- In summary, we helped 18 communities! 3 Afghan refugee communities in Portugal with computers; 5 communities in India with a donation of tablets and 10 communities in Mozambique with access to clean drinking water.
