Here are 5 Motives to Start Running for Brazil Now!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1584\" height=\"396\" src=\"https:\/\/www.run4achild.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Need-a-motive-2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-816\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Hello again, Runner!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We know it has been almost a month since the start of our <strong>Xod\u00f3 Challenge<\/strong>, the first challenge of 2022 where we decided to run for <strong>the children of Brazil<\/strong>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As we know, Brazil has experienced <strong>many economic and social problems <\/strong>and we are here together to help this country and its people. Here are some <strong>facts about Brazil&#8217;s Indigenous and Quilombo communities<\/strong> so that you can understand why it is so important to support this cause:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Poor access to health care <\/strong>and <strong>prevalence of respiratory<\/strong> or other <strong>chronic diseases<\/strong> made Indigenous and Quilombola communities particularly vulnerable to the Covid-19 situation.<\/li><li>These groups have their <strong>economic activities<\/strong> <strong>and lifestyles directly affected by the pandemic<\/strong>. The lack of access to their own territories makes it difficult for many to <strong>plant food<\/strong>, which is their main source of income. The <strong>weakening of human rights policies<\/strong> in recent years is another factor that contributes to the greater vulnerability of these communities.<\/li><li>In order to survive, many residents need to go to the city to maintain their income or seek health services, as <strong>many communities lack this type of care<\/strong>. They have also been facing difficulties in requesting <strong>emergency financial aid from the federal government<\/strong>, as the requests must be made <strong>online<\/strong>.<\/li><li><strong>Children<\/strong> are confronted on a daily basis with problems relating to <strong>health, food, access to water and education<\/strong>. <strong>Child labour <\/strong>still exists and remains a concern. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1080\" height=\"1080\" src=\"https:\/\/www.run4achild.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Need-a-motive-to-run-R4AC.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-812\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Our mission during this challenge is to help<strong> <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/conaq.org.br\/coordenacoes-estaduais\/associacao-das-comunidades-negras-rurais-quilombolas-do-maranhao-aconeruq\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"http:\/\/conaq.org.br\/coordenacoes-estaduais\/associacao-das-comunidades-negras-rurais-quilombolas-do-maranhao-aconeruq\/\" target=\"_blank\">ACONERUQ<\/a><\/strong> and to donate goods to the Quilombola communities of the state of Maranh\u00e3o in 23 municipalities. The <strong>Quilombola movement <\/strong>is recognized as one of the <strong>most active agents of the black movement in Brazil<\/strong> and introduces a debate that seeks to strengthen the perspective that this country has a great ethnic plurality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are many families in a <strong>bad economic situation and a state of vulnerability,<\/strong> due to the worsening and <strong>long duration of the pandemic<\/strong>, and that is why Run4aChild chose ACONERUQ to help.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We hope that you have learned a little more about the <strong>problems and difficulties<\/strong> <strong>that the children and the people of Maranh\u00e3o in Brazil are facing<\/strong> so that you can continue to help us and stay motivated in this challenge and in future challenges!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please keep on going!
