This day started in the United States in 2009 just as \u201cNational Running Day\u201d and with time, this date spread very quickly. The inaugural Global Running Day was held officially in 2016 where more than 2.5 million people from 177 countries pledged to run more than 9.2 million miles. As we can see, running bounds people together because they understand each other\u2019s language, which is: to run!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Running is considered to be a complete exercise, which brings a positive impact to our <strong>bodies<\/strong>. Some of the benefits include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Helps to build stronger bones, as it is a weight bearing exercise;<\/li><li>Strengths muscles;<\/li><li>Improves cardiovascular fitness and prevents heart diseases;<\/li><li>Helps people to maintain a healthy weight.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Nevertheless, running does not only have a positive impact on our bodies, but also on our <strong>minds<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Running reduces stress;<\/li><li>Helps to alleviate symptoms of depression;<\/li><li>Improves mental health at any age and helps to fight age-related cognitive decline;<\/li><li>Helps young people to sleep better, improves mood swings, and boosts the ability to focus.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you aren\u2019t already a runner, do these facts want to make you start running? This is part of the reason that we created this great initiative called Run4aChild. With Run4aChild, you can improve your health, your life but also other lives across the planet. And isn\u2019t that rewarding?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We have a social responsibility as individuals because we have a conscience, and we also have the responsibility to take good care of our body because it is the only one we have!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, do good, for you and for others. Let\u2019s celebrate Global Running Day today by running or walking even if it is just a few Km\u2019s. Anything will help!
